It’s not everyday you get to photograph birds of prey alongside a powerhouse of an editorial team. Thanks to this month’s issue of Diablo Magazine, I had a chance to do just that.

Congratulations to Lindsay Wildlife Experience for their 18 Diablo Best of the East Bay shout outs received over the years and to all of the local businesses earning their well-deserved recognition in this issue. Take a peek at the Complete List of Winners! Diablo works hard all year long to share and celebrate all that our community has to offer.

Diablo Magazine amazes me with their unceasing discoveries of the East Bay’s most interesting people and places. The February issue introduced me to mouthwatering BBQ from Pig in a Pickle (mmm…that smoked chicken with Alabama White Sauce!), hand crafted bitters from Batch & Brine and Maya Enista Smith modeling kindness in action through the Born This Way Foundation. It’s easy to see why these local folks have earned the attention.

Thanks to Diablo Magazine for another opportunity to connect with my community through photography!

The January 2019 issue of Diablo Magazine presented the opportunity for me to photograph four local happiness experts. I enjoyed connecting with these remarkable East Bay women and learning more about the ‘The Science of Happiness’ through their research. Be sure to check out the article in the current issue!

One of the many perks of working with a local lifestyle magazine, specifically Diablo Magazine, is getting a sneak peek of up-and-coming local businesses. This month’s issue introduced me to Shadowbrook Winery — “the first winery and tasting room to open in Walnut Creek since Prohibition”. I’m already dying to reserve a tasting overlooking beautiful Mt. Diablo! Also in the October issue is a portrait of Editorial Director, Deborah Kirk, sipping something tasty at another Walnut Creek business (one of my go-to’s) Coffee Shop.

Check out the current issue and, if you haven’t already, stop by these Walnut Creek businesses for wonderful food and drink experiences in my neck of the woods.
